Data Collection and Use

First and foremost, keeping customer information private is a top priority at Education Station; that's why we will never sell, rent or loan customer information to any third party. When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number and credit card expiration date. This information enables us to process and fill your order and to notify you of your order status. If you participate in a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address and e-mail address to we can administer the contest and notify winners. We know e-mail addresses and other personally identifying data about visitors to this site only when voluntarily submitted or posted to us. When you complete an on-line survey, we ask for contact information (e.g., your e-mail address) and, sometimes, demographic information (e.g., your age, postal code and shopping habits). We use contact data from our surveys to send you information and to reach you if necessary. You can opt out of receiving future mailings from us. We do not share any personally identifying data about our clients with anyone outside of Education Station. We maintain strict security over all the information you share with us and use this information to support your guest relationship with us and improve your shopping experience. We may use the information we collect to notify you occasionally of important functionality changes to the web site, Education Station services and special offers we think you'll find valuable. Cookies

Our Shopping Cart system uses a browser feature called a 'cookie' to store only a unique random number and an expiration time. We do not use permanent cookies to track users from session to session, nor do we create personalized profiles of our visitors. "Cookies" are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to disclose the individual identity of any site user. This Personal Information identifies your browser -but not you- to our servers when you visit our site. Unless you specifically tell us, we will not know who you are, even though we assign your browser a cookie. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. If you opt not to accept cookies, you will not be able to use the Shopping Cart feature on our website.
